FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions — for more info and full details, read the Terms & Conditions below.
Who can enter the Villa Crop Capture Challenge?
Anyone involved in agriculture or with a passion for farming can enter — growers, agents, farmworkers, suppliers, and even those who simply want to join for fun and have a use for the prizes.
How should I post my photos for the competition?
To enter, post each photo as a separate post on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok. In your caption, include a photo title, the category name, and optionally a short description or location. Be sure to tag Villa’s official account and use the hashtag #VillaCropCaptureChallenge—this is essential for your entry to count. After posting, complete the entry form on this page. Need help? Watch the overview video above for step-by-step instructions.
How many photos can I enter?
You can enter one photo per category, with 5 categories total — that’s a maximum of 5 entries per round.
Which social media platforms can I use to enter?
Participants may choose to post their entry on one or more of the following platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok. Posting on multiple platforms is optional, and if you do, it will still count as one entry as long as it’s the same photo with the same caption.
Can I enter the same photo in more than one category or round?
You can enter the same photo in multiple categories within the same round, if it genuinely fits each one (e.g., a landscape showing a person and a tractor).
However, that photo can only win once — it will only be awarded in the category where it places highest.
Winning photos may not be re-entered in any future rounds of the competition.
Can I enter photos I’ve taken in previous years?
Yes! Photos can be new or old, as long as you are the original creator.
Can I edit my photo(s)?
Basic editing such as cropping, brightness, and contrast adjustments are permitted. However, extensive alterations or manipulations that distort the original content are not allowed (for example, with AI).
What information do I need to provide in the entry form?
You’ll need your contact details, social media handle(s), role in agriculture, agent name and company (if applicable), and photo information. But don’t worry — the form below explains everything and is quick and easy to fill out.
Can I edit my entry after submitting the form?
Yes! After you submit the entry form, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link that lets you edit or update your submission at any time — for example, if you want to add more photos later in the round.
Do I need to fill out a new form for each photo?
No — each participant may only complete one form for the round.
If you’re submitting multiple photos, use the “Add Another Photo” button within the same form.
If you want to enter more photos later, just return to your original form using the link in your confirmation email and update it — there’s no need to start a new one.
How are winners selected?
Winners are selected through a combination of public voting and internal judging. After submissions close, Villa shortlists finalists for a two-week public voting period held right here on this page, where voters can choose exactly three entries. Villa will select the category winners from the top three entries with the highest number of votes. The ultimate winners after 3 rounds will also go through a similar process of public voting combined with an internal review by Villa. This process balances community input with expert judgment to pick the best photos.
What prizes can I win? Agent Bonus Prize? Ultimate Prizes?
In each of the three rounds, five category winners (one per category) will each receive 40 litres of InterLock®. Crop advisors or agrochemical agents who encourage growers to enter can earn an Agent Bonus Prize: if a grower credits an agent on their entry and wins, that agent receives 20 litres of InterLock® per winning grower. After all three rounds, Villa will announce three ultimate winners selected from the previous category winners, who will receive top prizes including a METOS weather station, a Nightvision FLIR camera, and a DJI drone (or equivalent), making the competition rewarding for both growers and their trusted advisors.
What are the important dates and deadlines for the competition?
