A water-soluble powder systemic, contact and stomach insecticide for the control of insect pests in crops as indicated.

Apple
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP is a neonicotinoid group insecticide and belongs to IRAC group 4A.
  • Highly systemic insecticide with a long residual action.
  • Excellent activity against Lepidoptera, e.g. codling moth.
  • Acts on central nervous system of insects, leading to paralysis and exhaustion of cellular energy.
  • Relative low toxicity to bees compared to other neonicotinoids.
  • Do not mix with triazole fungicides as bee toxicity is dramatically synergized.
  • Do not apply as a foliar spray onto crops when honeybees are present.
  • Prevent drift onto surrounding crops where honeybees may visit flowering plants.
  • Not compatible with alkaline spray water or products that will create an alkaline spray mixture. Use a registered buffer to adjust pH to 4.2-5.5.
  • For good resistance management, do not exceed two applications per season.

Codling moth
50 g/100 ℓ water + registered buffer. * Apply mid-November to mid-December (during the 1st or early 2nd-generation Codling moth) at 10-14-day intervals.

Suppression of woolly aphid
50 g/100 ℓ water + registered buffer.
pests start to migrate upwards into the trees, or when first noticed. Apply a 2nd treatment 2-weeks later. Effective, complete coverage is essential.

Canola
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP is an IRAC group code 4A insecticide.
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP controls the cabbage aphid (Brevicoryne brassicae) in canola.
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP is a systemic insecticide that acts on
the central nervous system of insects through both contact action and ingestion (stomach action).
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP translocates to the apical meristems in the plant (acropetal movement) protecting the new growth.
  • Controls the pest even when hidden within the leaves.
  • Rapid paralysis of the insect stops feeding rapidly and is followed by eventual death.
  • Good residual activity results in a longer period of effective control.
  • Low dosage rates required (50g/ha) for effective control.
  • Apply at first signs of infestation.
  • Optimal results obtained if applied when the crops are actively growing.
  • Do not apply after flowering.
  • Do not apply on to crops as a foliar spray when honey bees are present.
  • Do not alternate with insecticides with a similar
    mode of action.
  • Integrate other control methods (chemical, cultural and biological) into insect control program to limit resistance development.
  • DO NOT mix with triazole fungicides as bee toxicity is dramatically synergized.

Cereal
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP is an IRAC group code 4A insecticide
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP controls various aphids in wheat, barley and oats which includes brown ear aphid (Sitobion avenae), common wheat aphid, (Schizaphis graminum) and birdcherry-oat aphid (Rhapalosiphum padi).
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP also controls the cabbage aphid (Brevicoryne brassicae) in canola.
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP is a systemic insecticide that acts on the central nervous system of insects through both contact action and ingestion (stomach action).
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP translocates to the apical meristems in the plant (acropetal movement) protecting the new growth.
  • Controls the pest even when hidden within the leaves.
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP provides a rapid knockdown with a good residual activity.
  • Ensure that application is complete before a dense crop canopy is formed (before stem elongation: GS30) stage.
  • Do not apply later than ear emergence in wheat and barley and not after flowering in canola.
  • Do not apply on to crops as a foliar spray when honey bees are present.
  • Do not alternate with insecticides with a similar mode of action (e.g. Imidacloprid).
  • To minimize development of resistance do not exceed two (2) applications per season.
  • Integrate other control methods (chemical, cultural and biological) into insect control program to limit resistance development.
  • DO NOT mix with triazole fungicides as bee toxicity is dramatically synergized.

Wheat and Barley
Brown ear aphid and common wheat aphid- 50 g/ha MAINTAIN 200 SP + VILLA 51 (Apply minimum 120 ℓ /ha water)

Canola
Cabbage aphid- 50 g/ha MAINTAIN 200 SP + VILLA 51 (Apply minimum 120 ℓ /ha water)

Citrus
  • IRAC group code 4A insecticide.
  • Broad spectrum of activity.
  • Short persistence on leaf surface.
  • Contact, translaminar and systemic action.
  • Triple action: ovicidal, adulticidal and larvicidal.
  • Low acute toxicity to bees.
  • Quick knockdown effect.
  • Long residual effect against thrips.
  • Regular scouting is extremely important to determine the pest status.
  • Use MAINTAIN 200 SP in a tank mix with VILLA 51 to improve wetting and contact with waxy leaf and fruit surfaces.

Citrus thrips:
Apply 40 g MAINTAIN 200 SP per 100 ℓ water - Apply in the early season (at 100% petal-fall) as a light cover spray. - Repeat when threshold is exceeded but not later than 6 weeks after 100% petal-fall or first application, as pest repercussions may occur.

Mealybugs:
Apply 40 g/100 ℓ. Full cover spray when infestation is noticed.

Red scale:
Apply 50 g/100 ℓ. Full cover spray when infestation is noticed.

Grapes
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP is a neonicotinoid insecticide and belongs to IRAC Group 4A.
  • Highly effective against crawler stage of Mealybug.
  • Favorable environmental profile with minimal effect on beneficial insects, excellent choice for IPM.
  • Contact and stomach action.
  • Signs of suppression of other grapevine pests such as Leafhoppers and Leaf miner have been documented.
  • Apply a maximum of one application per season.
  • Monitor for Mealybug males using pheromone traps.
  • Once the Mealybug threshold has been reached, wait for crawler movement and apply treatment on the bases of shoots or leaves.
  • If required, follow-up with an alternative registered product, with a different mode of action.
  • The use of MAINTAIN 200 SP in summer must be preceded by a winter programme for the control of Mealybug.
  • Ideal pH range is 4.2–5.5.
  • Do not mix with triazole fungicides, bee toxicity is dramatically synergized.
  • Do not apply to flowering crops if bees are active the area.
  • High volume application is recommended.

50 g/100ℓ water MAINTAIN 200 SP plus a registered acidifier/buffer.

Potato
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP is an IRAC group code 4A insecticide.
  • Neonicotinoid and acts on the central nervous system of insects.
  • MAINTAIN 200 SP controls aphids (Myzus persicae) and Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) in potatoes.
  • Contact, translaminar as well as upward systemic.
  • Low dosage rates required (50 g/ha) for effective control.
  • Rapid knockdown.
  • Good residual activity.
  • Aerial application registration.
  • Very toxic to honeybees.
  • Do not use with triazole fungicides as it significantly enhances bee toxicity.
  • Do not use more than 3 applications per season for resistance management.
  • Dust and other covering of the leaf surface reduces systemic uptake.
  • Upward systemic and therefore canopy penetration is vital.
  • Use with 500 ℓ water.
  • Buffer between 4.5 and 5,5 pH.
