Features

SAVAGE 360 SC belongs to the pyrole group and is an IRAC group code 13 insecticide.
SAVAGE 360 SC has good translaminar, but limited systemic activity.
It acts through both contact and stomach action.
SAVAGE 360 SC has a strong knockdown effect against citrus thrips.
Versatile - can be applied as either a medium cover spray or a bait spray.
Provides prolonged periods of control.
The bait spray option fits well into a softer IPM spray programme.
The shorter withholding period allows for later application.

Do's & Don'ts

Ensure that the medium cover application is performed before calyx closure.
If the spray-water exceeds a pH of 7.0, the addition of an acidifying surfactant is recommended.
Apply a maximum of 3 bait treatments per season before middle of December. Adhere to a 140 day withholding period.
Do not apply SAVAGE 360 SC where there is bee activity in orchards to be sprayed.
Use only in orchards where mealybug is under commercial control.

Usage Rate

- Apply 30 mℓ SAVAGE 360 SC per 100ℓ water
- Apply as a medium cover spray at 90% to 100 % petal drop.

Bait spray
- Apply 30 mℓ SAVAGE 360 SC plus 200 g white sugar
- Apply as a coarse droplet bait spray.
- Apply 5 to 10 ℓ spray mixture per tree according to tree size.

SAVAGE 360 SC uncouples oxidative phosphorylation via disruption of hydrogen proton gradient (IRAC insecticide group code 13).
Insecticide and acaricide with both stomach and contact action on all stages of insects and; exhibits good translaminar, but very limited systemic action.
SAVAGE 360 SC has a unique mode of action as it interferes with respiration by acting on mitochondria within the cells.
SAVAGE 360 SC only becomes active once it enters the insects system through ingestion of treated plant tissue, making it harmless to predatory mites and parasites, thus making it the ideal tool for IPM system.
SAVAGE 360 SC exhibits good translaminar activity allowing it to control pests on the lower side of the leaf.
Control species that are resistant to carbamate, organo-phosphate and pyrethroid insecticides
SAVAGE 360 SC can be rotated with other compounds with alternative modes of action to prevent the development of resistance.
SAVAGE 360 SC has a PHI of 14 days in potatoes.

Do's & Don'ts

Apply preventively as a full cover spray from when the first moth activity is noticed.
Repeat application every 2 weeks.
Reduce the spray interval to 7 days under conditions of rapid crop growth or high infestations of tuber moth larvae.
Do ridging at least twice during the growing season of the crop.
DO NOT exceed 5 applications of SAVAGE 360 SC on potatoes, to limit the development of resistance.
SAVAGE 360 SC is compatible with COMMODOBUFF so as to buffer the spray mixture to assist in leaf penetration.

Usage Rate

Larvae of the potato tuber moth (Phthorimaea operculella):

Apply 300 ml/ha SAVAGE 360 SC (in at least 500 l spray mixture per hectare - ground application)
Apply 400 ml/ha SAVAGE 360 SC (in 40 l water per hectare - aerial application)
